The Washington Post

At WP BrandStudio, I produced interactive branded content for The Washington Post, in addition to leading the visuals and illustration for the branded stories featured in The Lily, The Washington Post's women's digital newspaper.

More art direction for The Lily, below.

The Washington Post x The Lily

I art directed and illustrated visuals for the branded stories featured in The Lily, The Washington Post’s women-run online newspaper that was re-established in 2017.

All of the illustrations were both art directed and drawn/collaged by me when we did not outsource the artwork to illustrators and photographers. While the editorial team’s strict color scheme of fuchsia, teal, cobalt blue, and black/white made the work challenging, the variety of pieces we created for the branded articles was a success for our client.

The intention was to create a unique mood for each piece so that there would be a breadth of work that would keep the readers alert and excited.
